Our mission
To fully support all members in achieving their full potential & to apply the same principles to all participating in our sport. We believe that it is the responsibility of our club to provide the best facilities we can, at affordable costs and that this applies year-round, not just for the outdoor season. If we want to move forward we need a strong supportive club with all members involved.
Our Ambitions
The ambitions of the club are based on the wishes of its members.
- To promote the club and the sport of archery within the local community.
- Seek out grant funding opportunities for the benefit of the club.
- Maintain a database of information to facilitate grant funding applications and to enable transparent governance processes for our members and our supporters. Whilst maintaining privacy for our members under GDPR UK guidelines.
- Market our club to potential sponsors, partners and the wider community.
- Provide information to individuals considering taking up the sport of archery and who may be thinking of joining the club.
- Provide a diverse and inclusive environment that enables everyone to be themselves and develop in a way that suits them. Whether they wish to develop for competition or simply for the pleasure of archery.

Colwyn Bowmen
We are a Target Archery Club in North Wales affiliated to ArcheryGB, who are the recognised National Governing Body for Archery in the UK and provide our club insurance cover, membership services and training for coaches. Colwyn Bowmen welcome everyone to the club and aim to ensure Archery is accessible for anyone.
As an affiliated club Colwyn Bowmen abide by all ArcheryGB safeguarding policies and rules, a copy of these can be found on their website. Our Club Rules can be found here.
We are a growing, fully inclusive archery club with plenty of capacity to welcome new members of all abilities and backgrounds. Even the website has accessibility settings (look on the right hand side of the page) and has a bi-lingual function!
We offer both indoor and outdoor target shooting. Whether you are taking part for fun, mindfulness or an aspiring World Champion, you will find a club that has friendly, knowledgeable members and “Club Only” competitions that are designed to give everyone who wishes to take part in competitions the experience to take part in local and national events.
