Colwyn Bowmen, Archery Club

Colwyn Bowmen are a Target Archery Club in North Wales affiliated to ArcheryGB, who are the recognised National Governing Body for Archery in the UK and provide our club insurance cover,  membership services and training for coaches. Colwyn Bowmen welcome everyone to the club and aim to ensure Archery is accessible for anyone.

As an affiliated club Colwyn Bowmen abide by all ArcheryGB safeguarding policies and rules, a copy of these can be found on their website. Our Club Rules can be found here.

We are a growing, fully inclusive archery club with plenty of capacity to welcome new members of all abilities and backgrounds. Even the website has accessibility settings (look on the right hand side of the page) and has a bi-lingual function!

We offer both indoor and outdoor target shooting. With free coaching sessions for all archers available.

Whether you are taking part for fun, mindfulness or an aspiring World Champion, you will find a club that has friendly, knowledgeable members and “Club Only” competitions that are designed to give everyone who wishes to take part in competitions the experience to take part in local and national events.

Welsh Archery Development News From Vic Williams Dear Club Members You may recall earlier this year I wrote to all clubs highlighting the opportunity for members to become involved in the proposed new Wales Development Forum.  The purpose of the forum is to listen to the grassroots of archery, to put forward ideas that will address the issues we are facing and to formulate a plan of action that will consequently help to decide which areas of development work are prioritised.  The forum will also help to accurately and positively feedback the particular needs of archery and archers in Wales…

Hmmmmm, covid put a dampener on things eh! March 2021 We can shoot again .. only outdoors though and we aren’t yet sure when the first session might be.  Our Lotto Lwcus is up and running. Tickets are £1 and a full 60% goes to charities in Conway.  50p will go directly to help fund our own  facility so we can offer more to our members and groups from within Conwy County. August 2020  Some great news at last !! After not shooting for some months we have been able to strike what we hope will be a long lasting relationship…
