“Volunteers are not paid,
not because they are worthless,
but because they are PRICELESS.”
All our club’s management are all volunteers and without volunteers we would not be able to operate in the way that we do. We are always looking for volunteers, both shooting and non-shooting. You don’t even need to be a member of ArcheryGB for most positions.
Positions that are always available are:
In addition to volunteering within the club’s activities, you may wish to consider the following roles:
Our Events Team run all our events away from the club’s normal activity. Deganwy Prom Day is just one of these. Help set up the range, collect fees, pack away kit and generally help out with information about the club. Probably the best fun but busy.
Needed to publicise our club, our activities and our achievements.
Our field Captains are there to monitor the shooting and keep us all safe. Training is provided within the club.
Without people in the role Archery Judge, Archery would struggle to present itself as a legitimate and regulated sport. The club will support members training to become Judges and certainly offer lots of tournament opportunities to achieve the require hours within the club and at local competitions.
As we grow and gain more equipment we are going to need more people helping to maintain our club equipment. This will be a very hands on role with responsibility of helping to keep the inventory safe and in a good state of repair.
A range of roles, all with job descriptions and once again very much part of a team. As well as being responsible for a specific role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the direction the club takes in its development and share the responsibility to ensure the club remains sustainable and thrives.
